The three-story former Nurses Dormitory of the Old Copley Hospital was built in the 1950’s and provided housing, office and instructional space for the hospital’s nursing school. The $13mm adaptive use development was financed through a combination of municipal loans, local private lending and private capital investment. The repurposed building is now home to the newly consolidated headquarters of the school district and includes an 8,000 square foot conference and training center. Resolutions were also brought forward to reconfigure the streets to create a park connecting the administrative center and school district’s largest elementary school – Bardwell Elementary.
